Improving Working Lives

Improving Working Lives (IWL) forms part of the NHS Plan, which promises to invest in NHS staff and ensure that the NHS offers staff a better deal in their working lives. It includes everything from how we as a Trust help staff to strike a balance between work and life outside work, through to feeling valued, working safely and achieving personal goals.

Recently, the Trust achieved ‘Practice’ status, which means that we have a wide range of policies in place to improve the working lives of our staff. Many positive steps have been taken to improve the working environment in our hospitals and provide greater support to our staff.
